Lotus Exige R-GT 2012 Geko Ypres Rally Sousa/ Mancini

This is a repaint based on Lotus Exige R-GT from 2012 Geko Ypres Rally driven by Bernardo Sousa as a driver and Corrado Mancini as a codriver. The package also includes driver suit repaint based on the suit used by Bernardo Sousa in that rally.

Please note, that:

1. While the actual R-GT version of Exige that this repaint is based on is Series 3 Exige it is sadly not available at this moment for RallySimFans plugin. The only Exige that we can use at the moment with the plugin is Series 2 Exige, and so it is technically a fictional skin.

That being said I made sure it stays true to the real livery in every possible way given the differences between Series 2 and Series 3 Exige.

2. This pack replaces car interior:

- cockpit texture and it covers white analog gauges with black suede texture. If- for whatever reason- you prefer the original cockpit texture, I included a backup file.

- windshield texture to be more transparent than default texture and it removes sunshade sticker as the real car didn't use any. If you prefer to use a sunshade sticker texture I have included an optional file with black one.

3. I have decided to leave the original RBR driver's helmet texture untouched. The actual helmet should be silver, as that seems to be the actual color of the helmet Bernardo Sousa used in 2012 Geko Ypres Rally, however the default texture is silver already with some Richard Burns details- I decided to leave them untouched. Richard Burns was a legend after all.

How to use Tldr;

- Backup your Lotus_Exige folder

- Extract files from Car repaint folder in the package

- Put them inside your RBR dir/Cars/Lotus_Exige/Textures directory, overwrite files when prompted

Extra (driver suit):

- Backup those files inside your RBR dir/SGS/textures/ directory:

body_rallydriver_01.dds

body-leftarm_rallydriver_01.dds

Gloves_01left.dds

incar_drv_1_01.dds

incar_helmet03.dds

helmet_outside_01.dds

- Extract files from Driver Suit folder in the package

- Put them inside your  your RBR dir/SGS/textures/ directory, overwrite files when prompted

Please note that .ini files I use remove steering wheel visuals in internal cockpit view. You can enable it with RSP Launcher by choosing an option in the "Cockpit& Dashboard" section if you prefer to have it visible. If you do not use RSF launcher, you can modify the Lotus_Exige.ini following way by yourself:

1. Find [e_steeringwheel] entry

2. Modify the

"Switch = false

into

"Switch = true

So, the whole part should look like this:

[e_steeringwheel]

FaceBlock0_Material = external::tire

FaceBlock0_Shader = CarTextureNoDirt

Predicate = NotUsed

Switch = true

SwitchBox = light

Known issues:

- Some logos are pixelated or stretched. This is the issue with overall repaint texture resolution- I would have to make it bigger if I wanted everything to be crisp clear, but I didn't choose to use higher resolution file than default one. Maybe one day I will make high res update

- Small logos on air intake covers on the sides of the car are barely visible- this is a combination of both overall resolution (read above) AND shader and/ or mud texture. I also believe overall lighting makes that particular place on the car look weird in some conditions.

- Small United Business Motorsport Events logo on rear spoiler sides are mirrored- this is how the 3D model is made and there is no workaround

- I have no access to driver suit template, so I had to work via trial and error to make it work. There might be some weir texture placement if you look for them (it looks OK in the main menu and replays)

Additional notes:

I DO NOT CONSENT FOR ANY OF MY WORK TO BE USED BY RBR PRO! USE RALLYSIMFANS.HU INSTEAD!
