 This pack contains repaint for BMW E30 M3 in 1990 Rallye Deutschland Hartge livery. This car was driven by Ingvar Carlsson and codriver Per Carlsson. They finished 5th.

How to use Tldr;

Just extract "Textures" folder, paste and replace files in RBR/Cars/BMW_M3_E30/textures directory


How to use the whole package (includes various improved textures for different elements on top of basic body texture repaint and .ini file to match external model very closely to Hartge spec car the livery depicts):

1. BACKUP YOUR WHOLE BMW_M3_E30 FOLDER (very important)

2. Extract files from Textures folder, paste and replace files in RBR/Cars/BMW_M3_E30/textures directory

3. Extract "Extras" folder, paste and replace files in RBR/Cars/BMW_M3_E30 directory

Please note that .ini files I use remove steering wheel visuals in internal cockpit view. You can enable it with RSP Launcher by choosing an option in the "Cockpit& Dashboard" section if you prefer to have it visible. If you do not use RSF launcher, you can modify the BMW_M3_E30.ini in following way by yourself:

1. Find [e_steeringwheel] entry

2. Modify the 

"Switch = false

into 

"Switch = true

So, the whole part should look like this:

Predicate = NotUsed

Switch = true 

SwitchBox = light

FaceBlock0_Material = external::tire1

FaceBlock0_Shader = CarTextureNoDirt

Known Issues:

- Blinkers behind front wheels on the side of the car were not used in real Hartge car spec in that rally, but the color for plastic blinkers mount and door handles is the shared by 3D model; I have decided to leave it black and paint orange light itself white (this is the best compromise I could think of as it looks better than having white door handles in my opinion)

- Most outside headlight bulbs are newer spec than old Hartge spec and are bigger; I tried making them much brighter to make them less visible but it looked just bad, so I adjusted them for the best compromise

- Roof antenna is mounted more forward than Hartge spec car, I don't know how to change that

- Windows Hartge stickers don't look perfect in RBR (Maybe this is texture resolution issue, but I don't want to push it even more)

- Front licence plate with Castrol logo in RBR is placed slightly lower than Hartge spec car

-Hartge badge textures look a bit pix elated, I would have to make whole texture insanely high resolution to fix that since they are tiny; also front badge texture is placed on the front grill and is wrapped around it which makes it look weird from some angles- this cannot be fixed because it is a 2D texture and not actual 3D badge like default M3 badges

- Roof take air intakes are missing (there is a 3D model for roof intake I found in.ini, but upon enabling it in it is a single intake vs double intake in Hartge spec car, also it is floating and- I believe- has no texture; basically this seems to be a w.i.p. feature that never got finished)

- Hartge color strips underneath rear spoiler are not visible in RBR despite removing that part from shader layer in temp

- Custom tarmac rims textures will look too bright or too dark compared to white body value, I don't know if there is any way to fix that because it seems lighting seems to affect both textures differently

- Some logos are distorted or pixelated and cannot be placed 100% in correct place for various reasons (for example small Hartge color strips near the front wheels should wrap the body few centimeters higher, but they get stretched in RBR and look very pix elated and unappealing unless I cut them following 3D model's body frame). Still, they look very close to the real thing
